About Us

We Are Not
New to This

Stateside Security Services was built by someone who has worked nearly every post in this industry, and who got tired of watching it be done badly.

The Story

Most Security Companies Are Started by Investors.

This one was started by an officer.

Our founder, Keith Miller, has spent nearly two decades in the security industry. Not managing it from a corporate office in another state. Working it. The first job was greeting people at a door. From there came loss prevention, catching theft in real time and learning that most of this work is about paying attention when nothing is happening. Then dispatch, coordinating officers and calls under pressure, learning what a good report looks like and what a useless one costs a client. Then protective assignments at the highest level, including presidential detail work, where the standard is absolute and the margin for error is zero.

Then came the corporate side. Operations management for national security firms, running officers, schedules, clients, and post orders across large territories. That is where the picture came into focus.

The national companies have the resources. What they do not have is attention. A client becomes an account number. An officer becomes a shift to fill. Post orders get copied from another site because nobody has time to write new ones. Reports come back thin because nobody reads them anyway. Nobody at the top has stood a post in years, so nobody at the top notices the difference between a guard sitting in a car and an officer actually working.

The small local companies have the opposite problem. Plenty of hustle, but no systems. No documentation standards, no real training, no supervision after the officer is dropped off. Great intentions, inconsistent delivery.

Stateside was founded to run the middle: the systems and standards of a national operation, delivered with the attention of a company that is small enough to know your property by name.

Our Mission

We Are Always Prepared

To protect North Texas properties, people, and events with trained officers, documented standards, and a level of attention that larger companies stopped providing a long time ago.

We do not sell coverage. We sell the confidence that when you are not there, someone competent is, and that you will have the record to prove what happened.

Our Vision

The First Call in North Texas

To become the security company North Texas calls first, for anything. Not the biggest. Not the cheapest. The one property managers, business owners, and event organizers think of when something needs to be protected, because we have earned it one property at a time in one region.

We stay in North Texas on purpose. Depth in one market beats a thin presence in ten.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

We hold every officer and every client interaction to five standards. Internally we call it SPEAR.

S

Service

The client's property, reputation, and peace of mind come before our convenience. If it matters to you, it matters on our post orders.

P

Professionalism

Uniformed, on time, alert, and composed. Our officers represent your property before they represent ours, and they carry themselves accordingly.

E

Excellence

Good enough is not a standard. Rounds get made. Reports get written. Details get caught. The work is done the same way every time.

A

Accountability

We document what we do and we own what we miss. Every shift produces a record you can read. When something goes wrong, you hear it from us first.

R

Respect

For clients, for the public, for residents, and for our officers. Security work is done with people, not against them.

How We Operate

What We Do Differently

We are a hybrid security company

Most providers do one thing. We build programs that combine on-site officers, patrol, and camera coverage, because most properties need coverage that matches their actual risk, not a package we already had printed.

Our post orders are written for your property

Not adapted from a template. Before an officer works your site, we walk it, learn the problem areas, and build the procedures with you. The officer arrives knowing what matters on your property.

Our documentation is real

Timestamped, detailed, and written to hold up with your insurance carrier, your attorney, or a fire marshal. Most clients who leave a previous provider tell us the same thing: they never really knew what was happening on their property.

We know this region

Eight counties, and we work all of them. Dallas high-rises, the Alliance and Northlake logistics corridors, the Collin County growth spine, the industrial base in Ellis County, and the communities along I-30 where we are headquartered.

Our officers are supervised, not deployed and forgotten

Field checks, quality control, and a leadership team that has actually worked the posts they are supervising. An officer who knows a supervisor might pull up at 2 a.m. works differently than one who knows nobody is coming.

We turn down work that is not a fit

There are properties and assignments we will not take, because taking them would mean cutting corners or putting an officer somewhere we cannot support them properly. Saying no is part of doing this right.
